Built in 1903, the rustic but grand, wood-paneled, three-storied house was equipped with the very best utility systems, and was surrounded by carefully planted trees, lawns and flowerbeds. Today, the house, a fascinating example of the "opulent" tradition in Tahoe summer homes, serves as a house museum, complete with furnishings.

Tahoe Art League Art Center and Gallery

The Tahoe Art League is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of fine art and art education at the South Shore. The Tahoe Art League provides free monthy art demonstrations for the public, art workshops, classes, summer outdoor shows and fine art exhibits throughout the South Shore.

Tallac Historic Site

This is the former site of the 100-year-old Tallac Resort. In its days of glory, the resort included two large hotels, a casino, and numerous annexes and out-buildings. Today, the site is home to the Valhalla Arts, Music and Theatre Festival.
